When we think about releasing tension in our neck we also have to address lack of mobility we may have in our shoulders, tightness in our chest, and/or weakness in our upper back muscles. In this routine we use internal and external shoulders rotations as we stretch the chest and strengthen the upper back at the same time as stretching the neck.
